Introducing The Castlemaine & Surrounds Women's Shed

Castlemaine & Surrounds Women’s Shed (CSWS) is committed to supporting the physical, mental and emotional health of our members and the wider community by providing a safe inclusive space that reduces isolation and fosters a sense of belonging and connection. 

CSWS aims to provide a welcoming place for all women, trans-gender and gender diverse folk to learn about handy work and enjoy making and repairing things. 

Currently auspiced by and running workshops from Castlemaine Community House, we launched a fundraising campaign to establish our own shed on International Women’s Day 2025. 

CSWS supports and empowers our members to grow their confidence and skills in all aspects of building through regular gatherings and workshops. When established, the new space will be available for members to drop in, work on personal projects big or small, and meet like minded people.
